This site neither condemns nor condones bootlegs. The facts are that they exist and fans are going to buy them. And it's very easy to get ripped off.

Therefore, this section of the site lists and grades the various bootlegs of the band.

Only LPs and factory pressed CDs (silver CDs) are considered in this discography. Cassettes, and CDRs, remain fan based, produced in low numbers, and whilst important, don't have the same collecting power as the illict 'professional' bootlegged items.

Bootleg Albums: Studio Recordings

Two studio albums have been bootlegs. A Real Long Time Ago states to be the Life In A Day demos but is a badly recorded version of the album. Our Secrets Are The Same features the unreleased Simple Minds album, which was recorded in 1999.
