Why Virgin wanted to release this cheap-and-nasty looking CD literally two months after issuing the standard remasters
is still open to debate. On the positive side, it's sold at mid-price and featured the remastered albums along with their new
booklets. On the negative side, it looks cheap, and most fans will already have the standard or limited remasters of New Gold Dream
and Sparkle In The Rain (which look far better).
My guess is that it serves as an introduction to the Simple Minds remasters to the casual or new fan.
