Additional Information
The LP was housed in a glossy gatefold sleeve, with the inner sleve carring extra pictures, credits and all the lyrics. The cassette and CD releases also featured the lyrics with each having unique artwork.

The Japanese version included a bonus track called Celtic Strings which appears on the She's A River single release.

The drummer Vinnie Colaiuta has his name misspelt on the album's sleeve (as shown above). He is reputed to be the best drummer in the world. Many thanks to Duncan Wakeling for this information.

In Australia, the CD album was also sold with a free copy of Street Fighting Years taped to it! Thanks to Lou Maratos for this information.

The album was recorded mainly in the US - in retrospect this was considered a mistake, as they worked for six months on it and then lost direction.

Keith Forsey originally approached Simple Minds to write a song for The Super Mario Brothers. After composing a song, they decided that it was too good for the film soundtrack, but continued working with Forsey on the project.

Mark Schulman was a suggestion by Keith Forsey. Mark ended up recording the majority of the album and joining the band on tour.

And The Band Played On is a reworking of When Two Worlds Collide from Real Life. She's A River was also an old song, dating back to the Real Life sessions.
