Radio Transcription Discs
Radio stations often broadcast interviews with the band, studio tracks and even exclusive live recordings.
Naturally these recordings are of the highest quality.
These programmes were issued either as LP box sets, reel-to-reel cassettes or (more frequently now) as CDs;
these were then distributed to the radio stations for play on the air. After their airing, the recordings would
be destroyed.
A small number of these items escape - this section details the ones I know about.
Westwood One - SuperStar Concert Series
- Live concerts featuring several artists. Normally the concerts are distributed as triple LP sets in
box sets with cue sheets.

- Live concerts featuring several artists. Normally the concerts are distributed as double LP sets with
cue sheets, or packs of CDs with cue sheets.

Westwood One - Off The Record Special
- These feature an interview hosted by Mary Turner during which several studio tracks are played.
Distributed as double LP sets with cue sheets, Westwood One envelopes and housed in generic picture sleeves.

- This seems to be a licensing deal between the BBC and the New York based Music and Media Magazine.
It consisted of live concert recordings. Distributed as single LPs with cue sheets.
